*A Night Full of Stars*
So thursday night we had a BLAST! If you have been reading my blog you know about my uncle Ryan doing that singing contest The Next Star of the West, well thanks to everyone who voted cause he made it to the top five. . .so the good news was thursday night the top five got to open for Kellie Pickler singing 2 songs and then the audience would vote on a piece of paper who they thought was best, and of course they had judges too! So I spent most of the time talking to everyone around me and telling them to vote for Ryan. Ha ha we had posters and a lot of our family came to cheer him on it was really fun and he did AMAZING! They weren't anouncing the winner till after Kellie Pickler was done so we had to wait, wait and wait, but man we had fun waiting. Kellie put on a great concert! She is so sweet and nice, and I really loved listening to her sing. She is a person that sounds the same live as she does on the radio. I loved it! Her last song was "Red High Heels" and everyone got up and danced and had the best time!

He's a superstar!

My dad checking out Pickler through binocs!

So Kellie exited the stage and we were all waiting in suspense to find out who the winner was. The Next Star of the West from last year came out with the big check (the winner gets $1,000 and a fully produced album) and tells us all that the winner won by one vote. . .so we all went quiet and our hearts were pounding as she shouts, "The winner is Ryan Blau!" We all jumped and screamed we were exstatic that he won! All that hard work that Ryan put into this and now he finally has something to show for it! Congrats Ry we love you and are so excited for you! You'll do great work with your album!

HE WON!

We wanted to be like Ryan so we were holding fake mics!

Ry with Charlie Jenkins. . .He gets to go on tour with him!

We were all just kind of standing around for pictures and stuff after, when I heard a cop say that Kellie was leaving and her tour bus was in the back so I started running and Brad, and our friends that came with us Devin and Carlee followed! We got to the back of the building and sure thing, there she was signing autographs and taking pictures with fans, so we all got in line and got our pics taken with Kellie Pickler! She is so nice to take the time to do that with her fans! Brad made me take a picture of the two of them with his cell phone and it replaced me as his wallpaper! Ha ha she is his new love! Oh-well I'm the one that went home with him that night so I can't be too jealous!:) It was a great night full of excitment and fun!

My Kids!
Hey, I hope that everyone is having a good week! I've been so lucky to see the kids I nannied for in New York 2 years ago, Abby and Dylon (they're twins 8 years old). They have gotten so big, I can't believe it! They're actually my cousins. . .kind of because my uncle's wife (my aunt) is their mom's sister. Anyways, their mom actually sends them to Utah every Summer and she stays in New York and works. So they have been in Utah for a little bit, but I didn't see them until our family reunion (they came with my uncle because he was babysitting them that week). Monday was our "Kenzie Day" and we went to the fun park and played, got pizza, watched a movie, ate ice cream, and I gave them haircuts because they needed them way bad! ha ha It's so crazy how whenever their around it is just kind of my instinct to be their "mom" because I pretty much was when I lived in New York, but they listen to me pretty good and we had a really fun time. I can't wait to take Brad back to New York and show him around, it is such a fun place!

Summertime means BBQ-ING!
I don't know about everyone else, but when it is Summertime that means that we have hamburgers on the grill at least once a week. This last Sunday Brad and I went over to his grandparents house in Perry and had a really nice bbq there. This was the first time in a while that everyone in his family was together because his two aunts and their families were here from California. It was so fun to see them since we hadn't seen them for a year, and it was great to just sit in the shade and chat with everyone! Brad played "kick-the-can" with all the kids and we were so entertained seeing the creative hiding spots that everyone came up with! I love summer bbq's in the backyard and just being with family!

Gotta love lazy days!
So Brad decided to take a day off work last week since it was going to be a slow week and we had so much fun! We slept in together. . .usually it's just me sleeping in. We got take out from Olive Garden and we went to see Kung Fu Panda, which is the cutest movie! I'm so glad that Brad took a day off to spend with me we had such a blast and I love being with him. He is always making me laugh and I love every second that we spend together! Thanks babe for all you do for me. . .I LOVE YOU!
:We are FAMILY:
So this weekend was really fun, my parents have a huge backyard and so they decided to start having family reunions at our house instead of paying for a camp ground. On my mom's side of the family we call my grandparents Nana and Papa so they named this reunion the 1st annual "NAPA" reunion. We played sand volleyball, had campfires, went mini golfing, had craft day, sang karaoke (Brad sang My Best Friend by Tim McGraw. . .cutest thing ever!) ate, ate, oh and did I mention eating?:) Since Brad and I live so close we weren't planning on camping, but we got talked into it so we did the usual thing with the Love Sac in the back of the truck! I loved it, it was so cozy and warm. My new favorite way to camp! It was really great seeing everyone and lots of fun catching up and sharing old memories! Thanks mom and dad for all that you did to make that reunion possible!

Mini golfing. . .I WON!

Go BEES!
So Mondays are mine and Brad's date days because when I was in school we both had Mondays off, but now Brad just has it off and I have everyday off (only for a little while longer though!) So Brad and I planned to go to a Bees game in Salt Lake! It was a BLAST! Our neighbors Tom and Sam were coming with us too so as soon as Tom got home from work we headed down to Salt Lake for some good ol' baseball fun! When we got there we found our seats and paid a fortune for the famous hot dogs and ice cream. Well worth the money I guess cause they were really good! We sat infront of the "bull pin" so we all had to listen to Brad taunt the players of the opposing team while they were warming up, it was funny though! Brad and Tom really were into the game, but Sam and I were interested in catching up and talking about high school memories(we were on cheer together)! The Bees ended up losing, but maybe we'll make it back down there again this summer and watch them WIN! On the way home we were making up all these crazy games and it sure made the car ride go faster. I got a headache from laughing so hard! Thanks Tom and Sam for coming with us it was a blast!:)

Brad and I have been having such a blast this summer! To add to the fun we went to the logan pool on Saturday and spent the day basking in the sun and playing in the pool! I love having Saturdays free to spend time with my man! We both got quite a bit of sun, but had a blast spending the day together. That night we went to my parents house for dinner and then we had a fire in the backyard and made smores YUM! Kade, Stace and some of their friends came over to share in the fun and we all had to laugh because Kade took his hat off and he had shaved his head AHHHH! I'll have to get used to it, but it looks cute Kade! ha ha:) I love everything about Summer, swimming, fires, camping, family parties, sunny days, going up in the mountains in the truck, picnics, snow cones, feeding the ducks, and being able to have time to spend with my amazing hubby!
I hope everyone is having as good of Summer as we are!

Brad loves his pic taken. . .HA HA we're all burnt after swimming!

I forgot to tell all of you some really great news! Brad got hired on with Logan city as a Reserve Officer! He is so so stoked and loves his job so much! On July 5th he was able to work the Cruise In and absolutely loved it. I'm so blessed to have a husband that loves his job and tries his hardest to make everyone proud of his work. Brad is really excited and everyone in Logan better watch out!:)
Brad after getting sworn in as a Reserve, I got to pin his badge on!

*Happy 4th*
I hope that everyone had a great fourth of july weekend! I know that Brad and I did, but it was very very hot! I guess I can't complain, I'd rather have the heat than the rain! I love holiday weekends when you spend them with your family and friends! Thursday night my family had a little bbq so Brad and I went to that. . .I LOVE hamburgers on the grill. . .it was delicious! After dinner Kade and Stace and Brad and I went and got our truck and put the Love Sac in the back so that we would have something comfy to sit on, got our freaking tasty snow cones and headed up to the fireworks. the fireworks were awesome, and it was really fun being all cozy in the back of the truck. On the way home Brad drove and the rest of us sat in the back, Stace and Me were crackin up cause we kept taking really funny pictures, and needless to say we all had a really fun time! When we got home (to my parents house) we got in the hot tub chatted a bit and then Kade and Stace slept on the tramp and Brad and I slept in the back of the truck on the Love Sac! It was a perfect night to sleep out under the stars!

On the actual 4th my brother Kade had to work so we took stace to the parade with us up in Hyrum and then headed over to Brigham to be with Brad's family (Stacie's family lives over there too). His sister Hilary was here from Wyoming with their cute little baby Chance and it was so good to catch up with them, we miss them cause they're so far away! Hanging out with Chance all day sure made me baby hungry! Ha ha, but that won't happen any time soon! After dinner and a lot of chit chat we went to the Brigham fireworks. It was such a fun holiday weekend, but by the end of the fireworks Brad and I were both so tired and ready to go home! I don't think that I have slept as good as I did that night for a long time!:)
P.S. Don't look at the dates on my pics cause my camera is stupid and messed them up!
