HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES
mega mega post and very late sorry!

Hey hey! We hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! It has been forever and a day since my last post, but we are still alive and kicking and all is well at the Nelson house! However, there has been a new little addition to the family...can you guess? It's not a baby, or an animal. WE GOT A NEW CAR or should I say SUV! Yeah we love it! It's so cute and so fun! We purchased a Toyota 4-Runner Sport Edition, we decided that the truck just wasn't cutting it for us and though it was a tear jerker to get rid of it(brad told me he loved me, and proposed to me in the truck), it was for the best, we needed a better family car(not an anouncement), but still wanted the 4-wheel drive and all that jazz! So we did our part to try to boost the economy and made this great investment! Ha ha

We were both so sad at first to get rid of the truck!

There she be...the new babe!

So I know that Thanksgiving was a long time ago too, but I have pictures so I'll post about it! We spent Thanksgiving at my Uncle Rick's amazing house in Draper. His house is literally right across the street from the Draper Temple. It is so awesome! It was such a great day to spend with our family and eat such great food.!

The beautiful Draper Temple!

After Thanksgiving had come and gone it was time to focus on Christmas! YEAH! We put up our tree and decorated our house! It was such a blast! To get into the Christmas spirit we went to the Forgotten Carols with Brad's sisters their husbands and Gram and Gramps! It was so awesome and we loved it!

Putting up the tree!

@ the Forgotten Carols!

It can't be Christmas without all the family Christmas parties. We had so many, but they were all so fun! It is great to get together with family and talk and laugh and play games! the first party was with my Nana and Papa. They gave us food storage and lots of candy! The next day we went to my Grandma Rita's party and in the same night to Brad's Grandma Nelson's party! Our last party was with Gram and Gramps O, we went for a sleigh ride and ate some yummy tacos and we got dish rags and towels and hot pads from both of Brad's Grandmas! Thanks for the great gifts we love practical gifts that we will always use!

The little cousins doing the nativity!

Gingerbread houses were next! We ended uo getting pretty creative this year, I should mention that these masterpieces took ALL freaking day long to do, I can't believe how crafty Brad is! We did a great job...don't ya think?!

He made a mini 4-Runner

It's our house, but mini and tasty!

My mom's masterpiece! She's amazing at this stuff!

For christmas Eve we went to my parents and had our tradition of soup and breadsticks! YUM! We played games and played the chimes too it was so fun, after that we opened some presents and then went home and waited for santa!:) Christmas morning was such a surprise and I guess that we had been good because we got spoiled! After opening our presents we had breakfast and got ready and drove to Brigham to be with Brad's family. While we were there we ate more yummy food and opened more presents, and boy did we get spoiled...AGAIN! It was such a great day and I'm so sad that Christmas is over. It always takes so long to get here and then when it does, it's gone in a jiffy! It's kind of sad!

Us in our Christmas p.j.'s!

Kauley's turn! He loved opening stuff this year!

Kade and Stacie spoiled us!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! For new years we went to Chilis with our friends and played games. It was a very layed back new years, but it was fantastic, and the best part...Kissing my babe at midnight! I love you Brad!

And now the holidays have come and gone and it's back to the life of working and sleeping, but it's such a great life and for some reason I wouldn't change anything! We hope that everyone had the best of holidays and have a year filled with many fun memories to last a life time! I promise no more posts this long ever again! A new years resolution...to be better at blogging! ha ha
