December 16th from here on out will always be a special day in our house...It's Max's birthday!

On Tuesday December 15th I had a doctors appointment. Keep in mind that I was due on the 13th so I went into my appointment with high hopes that Dr. Kirkman would tell me to go over to the hospital to have this babe. Well, to my surprise that's pretty much what he said. He said that due to my high blood pressure and my swelling from retaining water, that it would be best for my health and for Max's to be induced into labor rather than to wait till he was ready. All through out this pregnancy I wanted to just go into labor on my own, but I wanted me and Max to be safe so I thought that it was a good choice and we went to the hospital at 7:00 p.m.

Shortly after getting there and getting changed they started me on Pitocin and my Anitbiotic because I was Strep B positive. The Antibiotic had to be in me for atleast 2 hours before they could break my water. So 10:00 rolls around and there was still no doctor there that could come in to break my water, 12:00 comes and goes and I was having contractions, but they weren't too bad yet. Finally, 1:30 comes and Dr. Blackett was delivering a baby so they had her come in to break my water and that's when the hard contations started. I was in intense labor for about 3 hours having one contaction after another and then I was finally dialated to a 5, which is what I was wanting to be at before I got my Epidural. I got my Epidural and the first time it didn't work, but the second time, worked like a charm! After that it was pretty much smooth sailing.

I dialated 2 centimeters an hour and by 7:30 a.m. I was ready to push. I pushed for a good 2 hours and out came our beautiful little baby boy Maxon James Nelson! I'm not going to lie his head looked like an alien at first because the poor little man was in the birth canal for so long, and he wasn't really little I just like to say little man! He was born at 9:20 a.m. on December 16th 2009. He weighed 8 lbs even and he was 20 inches long! I would not have been able to make it through my labor without my Brad or my Mom. They were there through everything helping me be strong and make it through it! Thanks guys I love you and am so grateful that you were there!

We couldn't be more excited to have our little boy and after 2 long days in the hospital we were able to take him home! We love being home with him, we are fasinated with his every move and we just lay by him and watch him for hours! Our love for each other has grown tremendously and we love being parents to Max! Life couldn't get much better than this right now!

Right before leaving to go to the hospital...My huge belly!

WE LOVE OUR LITTLE GUY!

Baby, Baby, Baby
So like I said things have been kind of crazy with Christmas and a new Baby Boy just around the corner, but it has been so fun getting ready for our little man to join our family! We have been so blessed with such awesome family and friends that have SPOILED Max with clothes, diapers, toys, anything and everything! I just want to tell everyone thanks so much for all the love and support that you have shown us, we wouldn't have been able to do it without you!

Brad's family gave me a shower and it was so fun! Thanks Mom, Hil, and KelliAnn! Max got spoiled once again! ha ha I thought that I'd never find spots to put everything, but I managed!

Our cousin Jess made this AMAZING diaper cake and her mom made Max the cute burp cloths that are sitting around it!

MAXON'S NURSERY!

My aunt Seenie gave me this palm tree, it is just what the nursery needed to be finished completely!

Once again kuddos to my momma. She painted the canvases above his crib and changing table. She is one talented girl!

Well wish us luck! This little boy of ours should be coming any day and we couldn't be more excited!
*Christmas Time*
So it's been really busy around here trying to get ready for Christmas and the baby, but we have managed, and it has been really fun to have our tree up and to relax and enjoy in the holiday spirit that Christmas brings!

We still don't have too many decorations, but gees decorating is expensive, so every year I try to get just a little more!

We took a last minute, quick trip down to Salt Lake to see the lights. We were just going to Babies R Us to exchange something and we thought hey, we might as well hurry and go see the lights since we probably wouldn't make it there after the babe is born. We could only stand the cold for so long and plus there isn't near as mant lights as usuall so we only walked around for like 10 minutes then headed home! Thanks for excepting the invite Mom and Kaul! We're glad that you joined us on such short notice...we had fun!

When the time is right...
we'll be ready for you little buddy, to grace us with your presence! Your nursery is perfect, your car seat is in the car, your blankets are clean and ready to keep you warm, and your mom and dad are ready to love you, hug you, kiss you, and hold you! We love you so much already and can't wait for all the memories that we'll share together as a family! We love you Maxon James!
