Hospital Stay...
Yep, that's how I felt about it! lol
I don't LOVE the hospital, but it was nice to have help and to spend a lot of time with just me and my new little man!
We had to wait an hour before we got taken to Mother Baby so I fed Kannon for the first time. He nursed like a champ from the very beginning and for that I was so grateful!
After the hour of recovery, we got wheeled up to Mother Baby. Once we met our nurse and said goodbye to my awesome Labor and Delivery nurse Nanci (I loved her! She wrote us the cutest letter before she left) it was time to do Kannon's footprints and bath.

All clean and warm!

After Bath time Brad went home to get some sleep and I tried to rest.
We decided that Brad would go home and sleep, cause lets face it, there is no sense in both of us being dead tired the next day. If he got some sleep at least he would be rested when we got home so that I could rest! So he went home each night and then brought Max up in the mornings to have breakfast with us. The first day my mom came and got him from us and watched him and the second day he just stayed and hung out until we got the OK to go home!

Meeting brother for the first time!!!!
I could write an entire page on this because it was possibly the cutest thing EVER! Max LOVED his brother from the very first second he saw him! He would just look at him and do the silliest little laugh. He acted like they had been best buds forever!

My 3 boys!

I helped Max pick out a present for Kannon and Kannon "picked" out one for Max to give him when he met him for the first time. It was a success! Max LOVED the matching blankets they have and all the toys he got from brother! To this day he holds up his cars..."Kannon gave me these mom!" It is the cutest thing!
The many faces of Kanner Man!
These pictures speak for themselves!
This was our last night in the hospital. My mom brought Max up to see us and say goodnight. He was always so happy to see Kannon and would always giggle the entire time!

The morning we went home! YAHOO!!!!
Big Brother....Little Brother

Mom and her boys!

This makes me laugh!
Earkle much????!!!
Happy family, ready to go home!
Snug as a bug in a rug!

Some feelings and things I want to remember forever:
Even though I knew what to expect with labor, I was still so nervous. Maybe it was more excitement to finally meet my little guy. Someone that had been so close to me for 9 months. Finally getting to hold and love him. See what he looked like. Smell his new baby smell. Kiss his soft baby cheeks.
I was worried for a split second. How can you possibly love another as much as you love the first?! The second I saw him and heard his cry...I knew, it was possible, because I did, I loved him so much!
Brad is a rock star. He took on a whole new role with Max while I was in the hospital. I love him for all his support.
I'm so thankful to my mom who was there during the delivery to help me. She also helped with Max a ton. My MIL LeAnn and BIL AJ that helped with Max during the delivery. It helped me not stress knowing that Max was in good hands with them. All my nurses that helped in my recovery and Doctor Kirkman who is so amazing.
I expected the healing process to be a lot harder than it was. The after labor pains while nursing were far worse than the labor part, which was weird. I got home, threw some laundry in, cleaned a little, put stuff away, went to the store with Max for a bit, and threw a pizza in the oven for Max. I then knew why people said that life doesn't stop. It just keeps going and you have to keep up! I did rest, but it was hard for me at first.
All in all this was a great experience, I am however, so glad that you forget what it feels like, pregnancy and labor. I don't know when we'll be ready or IF we'll have more kids, but I am so grateful for the 2 I have now!
